Thinking Like an Engineer

Here's some back story. I got my lab manual for my statistics class in the first lab today. I didn't know it was loose bound, aka, meant to be put in a binder. I didn't bring a binder, and I didn't want to just let it fall apart in my back pack. Thinking like an engineer, I pulled one of the shoe lacess I keep in my bottom right pocket and bind it together.
